Government programs for supporting the development of the agrarian sector of Ukraine are aimed at diversifying and activating agricultural activities, including through the widening of the range of support recipients.

The joint and coordinated work of the Ministry, regional and local authorities and profile associations is an important condition for implementation of a new agricultural policy on ensuring the effective realization of state support tools to agricultural producers.

Deputy Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine Olena Kovaliova noted this during a round table "State support for agriculture: needs of small and medium producers and recommendations for state policy" today, on April 19, in Vinnytsia.

"All financial instruments and mechanisms of government support programs for 2018 are designed to reach the widest possible range of agricultural producers. Using the support, farmers will be able to make a step in the development of their business, increase the profitability of the produced goods by forming value added chains ", - Olena Kovaleva said.

The round table was held within the framework of an informative campaign of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine in regions on Farmers Support Programs in 2018 from the Government. The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, Vinnytsia Regional State Administration, heads of agricultural enterprises and farms, representatives of local self-government bodies and public sector.
